Always put your jewelry on last to avoid contact with sprays, perfumes, and lotions.
To maintain the beauty of your jewelry, store pieces dry in a separate pouch or box to avoid scratching.
Things to avoid:
Avoid long term exposure with salt water, chlorine (swimming pools), chemical cleaning agents or treated cleaning clothes.
Many chemicals for cleaning jewelry are abrasive and can cause color alteration. Using warm water with a soft cloth is the best thing you can do to maintain the beauty of your jewelry and natural crystals. *Sterling silver works well w/ warm water, baking soda, and a soft cloth to remove oxidation.
Gold Filled vs. Gold Plated:
Know if your pieces are Gold Filled or Gold Plated. "Gold Filled" pieces won't chip or fade like some "gold plated" items possibly can. However, taking precautions are best to ensure they remain in their best condition.
Note: Gold filled items (which the majority of our items are made with) contain over 100% more gold than “gold plated” items. They must have real 14K to 18K Gold that is fused over the base metal. Some gold filled items are stamped 1/20 14K GF. This means that the pieces are 1/20th 14K gold by weight. Opposed to “gold plated” items that are only dipped by the microns and does not have a minimum regulated requirement that gold filled must have. Gold filled items is the next best thing to solid gold with a more affordable price.
Handmade & Natural Crystals vs. Mechanically-made and Synthetic Crystals:
*Note, your unique creations are handmade with natural crystals. Some stones may have heat treatment to enhance the color or shine but the stone itself is made from mother nature. No two crystals are exactly alike therefore, every item is one of a kind. Your items are handcrafted with loving energy and care, (not by machine) so slight imperfections in shapes or sizes is completely normal and each artisan piece is infused with positive energy and light.
*Energy Cleansing: To cleanse stagnant energy that may accumulate over time with natural crystals, many incorporate the use white sage called "smudging". Click Here for more information on smudging crystals.
